Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Mango Dog Pty Ltd (ABN as published on our website), an Australian proprietary company (“Mango Dog,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with OK Aimee and our websites, marketing, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). Mango Dog is a privately owned Australian development company. OK Aimee is designed to run primarily on your own device; this policy covers information we receive when you interact with us online or through our offerings, not the contents of your private local data store unless you choose to share it with us.
1. Who we are
The Services are operated by Mango Dog Pty Ltd, Australia. We handle personal information as an organisation subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Australian Privacy Principles). For privacy-related requests, contact us at privacy@mangodog.com.au.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and contact data: Name, email address, organization, billing details (if applicable), and similar identifiers you provide when you register, join a waitlist, or communicate with us.
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URLs, timestamps, and diagnostic or performance data from our websites or hosted components.
- Support and communications: Messages you send to us (including email and in-product feedback), attachments you choose to provide, and metadata associated with those communications.
- Product telemetry (if enabled): Aggregated or de-identified analytics about how the software is used, only to the extent you or your administrator opt in and as described in applicable product documentation.
3. How we use information
We use personal data to:
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
- Process transactions, waitlists, and early-access programs;
- Communicate with you about updates, security notices, and support;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues;
- Comply with law and enforce our terms; and
- Where permitted, send marketing communications (you may opt out at any time).
4. Australia: Privacy Act and APPs
We collect, hold, use, and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Depending on the circumstances, we rely on appropriate APP bases (such as consent, performance of services you request, or our legitimate functions).
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the email above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
5. Other regions (EEA, UK, and similar)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply in addition to Australian law, we rely on one or more of the following bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as securing our Services and improving reliability, balanced against your rights), consent where required, and legal obligation.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We may share personal data with:
- Service providers who assist us with hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processing, customer support, and security, bound by confidentiality and processing agreements;
- Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) where necessary;
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity; and
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice as required by law.
We do not sell your personal information as “sale” is defined under the CCPA/CPRA (for California residents).
7. International transfers
Mango Dog is based in Australia. We may store or process information in Australia and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where we disclose personal information to overseas recipients, we take steps consistent with the APPs (including APP 8) where they apply.
Where the GDPR or similar laws require additional safeguards for transfers from the EEA, UK, or similar regions, we use appropriate mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Retention periods depend on the nature of the data and legal, contractual, or operational needs.
9. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you use the Services at your own risk to the extent permitted by law.
10. Your rights in other jurisdictions
Depending on your location, you may have additional statutory rights (for example, to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, to object to certain processing, to data portability, or to withdraw consent). You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority outside Australia. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email in Section 1.
11. California residents
California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information and may request deletion or correction subject to exceptions under the CCPA/CPRA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
12. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Third-party sites and integrations
Our websites may link to third-party sites or integrations (for example, cloud AI providers you connect with your own keys). Their privacy practices are governed solely by their policies. We encourage you to review those policies before connecting accounts.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
